Paws in the Park is a 2 day dog show that happens during Spring (May, Ardingly) and Autumn (September, Detling) every year. It’s growing strength to strength every year! It also welcomes campers from Friday – Sunday.
This is the 4th Paws in the Park I have attended since 2014 and it gets better every time. We set up our tent Friday morning and so attend the show both days so we get to watch everything that goes on from Agility and Flyball competitions to a Companion dog show. There’s plenty ‘Have a go’ events such as Search and Rescue, Flyball, Temptation alley and loads of displays from Huskies in need, Newfoundland’s cart display and Richard Curstis Heel work to music or K9 Quackers.
It’s hard to photograph everything even though I have 2 days to do it in. I love photographing all the action but my most favourite style photos are capturing the dogs when they’re unaware.
